He was just a small kid when those classes were around.

According to my may of 1989 Hot VWs in the F.Y.I. section their SS/AC record was 11.32 at 115 and their SS/BC record was 11.77 at 111  and their SS/CC record was 12.47 at 107. it also says that the weight of the car for SS/CC was 1920lbs and the engine was 1680cc

Will that help the weight/CI  allowable? :D

Russell, speak to Pete Shattock, Ian Clarke and Lee Maynard about Eric Ballards collection. They're like walking encyclopedias about some of those cars! ;)
