Title: Pauter roller tip rockers and Ti valves?? Post by: richie on December 25, 2008, 03:56:45 am Opinions on lash caps,are they needed with the roller rockers and Ti valves,when I have used these rockers with steel valves I havent used lash caps but am unsure with Ti,so anyone know for sure?

It sounds odd maybe and has nothing to do with strength, but on a type 4, Pauter used lash caps in his kit just to make the proper valve geometry at all possible...
Don't know what the stock geometry is like on a type 1 head with Pauters though, but maybe it has nothing to do with material compatibiity there as well... ::) Just a (different) thought ;) If you don't actually need them for material strength or material compatibility, they only make the valve side unnecessarily heavier imo...
