They are totally raw, when you look at the detail in Sum fun, Lil Snort and Mouse Trap you begin to see how it was, todays cars are just too good and we should take our hats off to those who build then in "back then style".
Tar babe desereves to be restored and hopefully the correct parts will be found some day, but until then we shoul;d be pleaseed to see her being assembled. Lighting Bug ! They were anodized in a two color "marble" process. Almost had a pinkish-purple "tie-dye" look to them. I saw this car last July in person, and the only person(s) that will ever get a chance to puchase it, if and when, would be Paul and Mark Schley! The owner has owned that car since 1973, when he purchased it directly from Mark and Paul, after the Winternationals. It is the most famous VW on the island.
