did you say polished?  :-\
looks nice, what colour might it be?

cool wheel and gauges! is that a superior 500?

Title: Re: my 65, fresh paint!
Post by: beetletom on January 30, 2009, 16:39:47 pm
yep, but if the laqure has gone on them, i might get the centres blasted, as they have been sitting outside for over a year!

not sure on the wheel, its similar to a speedwell, but the end of the spokes don't flare out, so it could be a superior 500
also got an empi radio to match the gauges

fontana grey! quite a lot different from when you saw it last year!  :o  8)

If the spokes are aluminum then it looks like you have yourself an early Speedwell wheel. Superior 500 spokes will be steel. Do the magnet test.

thanks  8)

i think it could be an early speedwell wheel, now that you mention it
as i've seen a few people refer to it as one.
but could be wrong..?

just got back from taking the tyres off....gone for some brm's regrettably, but should look alright.

as there was no way of fitting porsche pattern wheels upfront, unless changing to discs
