Title: Glass ball needle valve problems Post by: Elnef on January 30, 2009, 21:43:38 pm For some month ago I bought a set of 61mm terminators for my 3L type4
http://cal-look.no/lounge/index.php/topic,3960.0.html But like others I have problems with the 3,5mm glass ball one is working and the other is crap :( then I tested the spare set for my old 51,3mm also crap :( But my 13years old Berg steel ball 3mm from the 51,3mm is stil working fine :) but is 3mm fine for lets say 300hp with a fuel preasure on 0,25 bar / 3,5psi ?? Or do I have to buy a lot of 3,5mm to get one working set ?? Stick with genuine weber 3.0 needle & seats, start with 3.5psi, and with the motor running run the fuel psi up until the carbs start to bleed over and it won't idle clean anymore. Back it off a hair and lock it down. The benefit you have with Terminators is that you have a giant float bowl to work with.
For me, the glass balls were a weeks worth of wasted time. Title: Re: Glass ball needle valve problems Post by: Sam K on January 31, 2009, 06:18:54 am I had a similar problem with glass ball needle and seats in my IDA's last summer. The originals seem to work just fine.
