It's for my '67 Cool, will do. Do you prefer sand seal or no sand seal?? Title: Re: Goodies on ebay Post by: Rick Meredith on December 17, 2006, 07:44:28 am Haven't got that far... I suppose non-sand sealed but if you have a cherry sand seal one, It's not a big deal to cut my case. The last motor in the '67 was cut... it was when I was in pursuit of the dripless VW motor. ;)
Title: Re: Goodies on ebay Post by: Diederick/DVK on December 17, 2006, 13:16:38 pm guys, sorry to go off-topic... but what is a sand seal? i read it's for off road use, but what does it do?
and with my standard (unmachined) case should i look for no sand seal? thanks Title: Re: Goodies on ebay Post by: Zach Gomulka on December 17, 2006, 17:40:08 pm You know the threads that are usually on the back of the crank pulley?? Well, for a sand seal, they machine those threads off, and install a thick rubber seal into the engine case. I personally havent found any benifit to this...
Rick, next time Im at my dads house Ill dig up the nicest one Ive got. It may be a little while, but I wont forget you ;) Title: Re: Goodies on ebay Post by: Rick Meredith on December 18, 2006, 02:34:04 am Sounds good Zach, Thanks!

Keeps dirt out if you go off-road a lot, Title: Re: Goodies on ebay Post by: simon uk on December 18, 2006, 14:35:01 pm the bid is on the centre generator mount! ;D
