So , what wheels are going on the 54 ? It would be hard to top the way it looks now.

 Hi Bill,
...well, the Kab has been sold. The new owner was looking for an original car, and plans to give it a 'stock' look....

-so, the deal that was done included keeping the Fuchs. -I put some 356 rims on it for him.. they actually looked pretty good!

 Hope all's well with you,

regards
Steve Mortimer

67-indeed/DVK

..most non-standard parts are likely to be replaced, including engine, exhaust, shifter etc. :-\  -it's a shame, but i can understand the logic as the new owner was looking for an early cabrio and didn't want the expense of restoring one...

 - I have first refusal on the parts as & when they are taken off, so (depending on my plans) these may be for sale later in the year,

regards
Steve

Tis a shame, I drove the car to the first HVWs drag day a few years back.  Very fond of it!
