I want to mill the valve guides of my 043 vw heads, to instal some double Berg (273 a) springs. I need to know to what size the guides have to be to clear the springs. I did some measurements and i think it would be 15 milimeters, is this correct? cheers, Dennis.... Most cut them too much and you get problems when changing guides .

Title: Re: installing double valve springs in 043's Post by: besserwisser on February 19, 2009, 07:55:52 am When I repair guides in heads machined for dual springs I use K-line liners. Its a sleeve inside the valve guide that actualy holds upp better than the original guide.
