DARING 2B DIFFERENT..........so,go for it Paul;) Thats the point of my project......Dare to be different !! More and more cal lookers are coming......but it loooks like most of al are beetles before 1967 and with original collors. My 69 beetle (late looker) must be a mix between the old look and the cal look from the 70s and 80s. Damn......I cant work this weekend on my car :( Going to Berlin and maybe to Wolfsburg. But after the weekend i go for it and the chassis must be Done within a few weeks so i can start with the rollcage ! ;D Cheers ! Title: Re: Sixtynine Juice Post by: vwcab on March 22, 2009, 22:35:47 pm Lookin' good Paul, ;) (goe bezig ;D ) Title: Re: Sixtynine Juice Post by: Nico86 on March 22, 2009, 23:31:14 pm Here are some pics of mounting the Simca seats..... Thanks for the pics Paulus ;). Will you mount a kind of system to have access to rear seats ? Or there will be no rear seats ? ;D. Title: Re: Sixtynine Juice Post by: Wünderwolff on March 23, 2009, 08:14:27 am Those Simca seats always look right. I have some roaming around the house as well, waiting to be mounted in my 66.
I am going to cut the frames as you have, however I have also been thinking of making the co drivers seat tilt to the front to facilitate acces to the back. Although with the thoughts going to a rollcage right now, that won't be needed after all, as I will have to move through the car like a monkey anyway. Title: Re: Sixtynine Juice Post by: Nico86 on March 23, 2009, 12:33:02 pm I am going to cut the frames as you have, however I have also been thinking of making the co drivers seat tilt to the front to facilitate acces to the back. Although with the thoughts going to a rollcage right now, that won't be needed after all, as I will have to move through the car like a monkey anyway. That's what I'd like to do too, I wanted to check a Simca 1000 Rallye or a R8 Gordini to see how the seats are mounted, but they are both 4 doors cars, and inside an Alpine I'm not sure there are rear seats. Title: Re: Sixtynine Juice Post by: Paulus on March 23, 2009, 17:53:01 pm Here are some pics of mounting the Simca seats..... Thanks for the pics Paulus ;). There will be no rears seats indeed ! 8) This car must be at a low weight...... ::) Title: Re: Sixtynine Juice Post by: Paulus on April 05, 2009, 20:56:05 pm Start building a cage......
Im really pleased with the result and im going to build a full cage now ( thnx for the push Hurry ;) ) (http://94.100.114.63/540050001-540100000/540095901-540096000/540095921_5_XS0L.jpeg) (http://94.100.113.14/540050001-540100000/540096101-540096200/540096153_5_UBp7.jpeg) (http://94.100.113.44/540050001-540100000/540096401-540096500/540096493_5_b5aC.jpeg) (http://94.100.113.199/540050001-540100000/540097501-540097600/540097545_5_kH3E.jpeg) (http://94.100.115.2/540050001-540100000/540098801-540098900/540098816_5_e5A5.jpeg) (http://94.100.114.38/540150001-540200000/540153001-540153100/540153052_5_Pbmr.jpeg) (http://94.100.113.190/540150001-540200000/540153301-540153400/540153335_5_-RWA.jpeg) (http://94.100.114.176/540150001-540200000/540154401-540154500/540154496_5_y7oB.jpeg) This week im gona get me some stuff so i can build a full cage ! Not a must for my car, but i think it looks sooo great ! :D Greetz ! Title: Re: Sixtynine Juice Post by: Nico86 on April 05, 2009, 21:10:52 pm Nice roll cage, what kind of steel you use for it ?
Title: Re: Sixtynine Juice Post by: Paulus on April 05, 2009, 21:23:24 pm Nice roll cage, what kind of steel you use for it ? Thnx, im using normal steel for it, but the bars are special for bending. Title: Re: Sixtynine Juice Post by: Sander/DVK on April 05, 2009, 21:27:07 pm Thats a pretty nice job Paul! Keep it going ;)
Title: Re: Sixtynine Juice Post by: Wünderwolff on April 05, 2009, 21:36:41 pm This is going to be a nice interior with the cage and simca seats. But if the plan is to attach the seatbelts to the bar so low, I would change it. If you ever crash the car, god forbid, the seatbelts will compress your spine. Not good. The inclination of the seatbelt to the back should be at an inclination no more than 10°
Title: Re: Sixtynine Juice Post by: Paulus on April 05, 2009, 21:48:28 pm Thnx Sander !
Dr Jeckyl, you have a good point..... when i mount the belts to the bar i didnt felt really good. I was thinking to change the mount, now im really going to do that ! Thnx Title: Re: Sixtynine Juice Post by: Nico86 on June 21, 2009, 19:28:34 pm Hi any news on the car ?

Title: Re: Sixtynine Juice Post by: Harry/FDK on December 20, 2009, 09:53:43 am AWESOME CAR !!!
Title: Re: Sixtynine Juice Post by: nicolas on December 20, 2009, 12:21:28 pm go for 44 IDF's or 48 IDA's, 40IDF's work Ok with a 1914, but it will restrict a bigger engine.
i also would suggest 42DCNFs, but that is probally just me. Title: Re: Sixtynine Juice Post by: FDK/mrpedrini on December 20, 2009, 12:51:30 pm Heey Paul!! Looking goog so far!! 8)...do you have some spare time after christmas...?? maby i can take a look at the beast!! ;)

But he is going to use the '36s vents out of a 44weber, that wouldn't make a diffence in the end? am i correct? or are emulsiontubes etc different also? Thanks Nice holidays!
