Title: Porsche 911 cooling fans Post by: drgouk on March 14, 2009, 07:04:43 am What model porsche 911 cooling fan assembly is the most efficent? the 245mm 911 turbo or are the 964/993 cooling fans just as good? Also how do the fans from BAS, GWD and CSP, compare to the genuine porsche part?

The best cooling systems that are avaliable are our grman Type 4 . They will fit to the pauter heads but i do not know about the Pauter case ... Who did the front engine tin? Looks really well done. About the efficiency of the Porsche cooling, a friend runs a Weytal shroud which was especially design to cool a 4 cylinders. The original 12-blade delivers less cu.ft/min air then an original 11-blade.Less air does not always mean its a lesser fan... Sometimes too much air only stalls the fan and if the fan can't get all that air pushed through the fins, it only costs more power and cools less. At least stateside, I don't know much about the European systems available...
