It was out at Drag Day on Sun. Other than the wheels & badges, I did'nt see any other Empi parts. However it was a super clean og paint car. It had $7000 on the sign yesterday & it was worth every penny.

I saw it at Pomona two weeks ago... I liked the car, but it's pretty plain.

IMHO, Larry's GTV is (or was) a much better deal for the money...

I know, I know, it's not a 67...

It looked all original in person, just not very well equipped for a GTV... It is a nice car though.
Oh yeah, the gauges are not EMPI.

Did anyone notice if the GTV emblems were held on with self adhesive tape or two pegs ?
The badges with two pegs and tubular nuts are correct for 66-67 GTV's.

Weren't there four versions of the GTV? Could this have been a Mk1 (low spec), perhaps with some of the trinkets previously removed?

If I was in the market for a Bug assuming it's as clean as it looks to be this would certainly be one I'd consider, $7000 for a car like this isn't bad at all.

I'm almost positive there weren't 2 GTV's equipped alike. They were all pretty much made to order. Mine has things on it (like the chrome wheels & gauges) that were only on the top of the line GTV's, and it never had very basic items like a header, sway bars, shocks, etc. even the engine was bone stock.
