Title: Problem with 155R15 tyres on 5,5 wheel Post by: Nico86 on March 16, 2009, 17:39:37 pm I've tried to mount 155R15 tyres (Vredestein Sprint Classic) on 5,5 wheels (Flat4 Enkei Dish) but it seems that it's impossible to do, because the wheel is too much large. Did anyone try it too ? Or maybe I have to change the tyres ?

an inner tube. After that it should work. It's strange 'cause there is a lot of cars running 155 or even 145R15 on 5,5 wheels. ???

if you blow the air in the tire make sure that the valve is above on the tire and push there with your knee this open the tire a bit and helps to get it in place this is how i learned it and it works for me henk!!! If you try it at home, remember to remove the valve stem (core). Wetting the bead with water and bouncing the tire around before trying to seat the bead works good too. Sometimes though, the magic doesn't work and you need to refer to plan B! ;D
That's when you try the sure "fire" way (as instructed, BE CAREFUL!) ;) Ether or starting fluid and a match always worked for me. Be careful. I run also 145/65 R15 on the same wheel. no problem also.
