Not quite, but I am nutter for old vw's, These have been collected over many years and i never seem to sell anything which always leaves me a big problem "STORAGE"

I love that collection!!!! But, being the practical man I am....how do you find time to wash all those cars?  ;D

currently it takes 4 days ! to wash and dry and a further 2 to polish............ therefore i only do it on special occasions ! I prefer driving them its less hassle.

Yeah I know what its like - we meet so many people at shows  :) And yep I'll be at volksworld ths year I can't wait to see some of your collection especially the DKP car ;D, I don't think I'm showing the Manx this year - Ivan asn't asked me yet  ;) :D

Yes i drive them as much as i can.......

the 1st one i got was back in 87 !

and, which one are you most proud of owning....... very hard question and honestly i dont know they are all special my favs are the ones with the most history i.e. the Chop, the Race Shop Ghia, but i love Iguana is just so simple, Arnies DKP1 car has loads of appeal due to him being so attached to the car for so long which makes it special for me. The gates car is superb and to be honest ive never seen anything like it. ever.

I am gratefull to all the people that have allowed me to become the custodian of there cars and allowed me the chance to own and drive them. Keith (UltraVW) and Ivan (Volksworld) have been great friends and guided me to the right people. A special mention also to Kobus Cotraine (a complete gem of a guy) and Randy Carlson (honest guy)

I was very disappointed that I was several to contact his owner of  sound drag " SUM FUN " that I do not arrive his answer because I sold my drag tickled pink 80' S to replace this drag sum fun!!  it is ball

LOL  Scott was In DVB Back in the 70's When I Was  He Also Left DVB and Became a Member of the DSK after Years Past He Strayed Off, lol And Built the Greg Aronson Clone 63 Rag Top Since Greg was a DKP 1 Member  Scott needed Club Decals to complete his Clone so he Joined DKP III, He Also Got The Paint By Beckers Bug House Stickers from Dean Kirsten Its Funny Scott had A 64 Bug When I Met him with Chrome Wheels and Porsche Caps and I had a 69 Bug at the time. Scott Lives in Glendora Ca. And They were having there First Cruise night Scott Had Picked up some EMPI 8 Spokes for his 64 15's in the rear 13's in the front He Wanted them on his car for the First Big Glendora Cruise Night, Little did he Know I had picked up a Set Of 15 inch 8 Spokes for my 69 Bug and Also Had Plans of showing up with them on my Car for the Cruise Night I can Still See Scott's Face When I Pulled in the Parking Lot the first thing out of his mouth was (WHERE DID YOU GET THOSE) LMAO ;D ;D ;D

Hi Russel, how is the 1957 Oval (Ex DKRC Joe Maestas) been running? Has there been any changes to the car since being shipped over there that you know of? I know a coule things that are needed to make it run the mid 11's that it is capable of.

27 cars on the 27th Dec 2006............ exactly 3 years since that post  :o wow how time flys.

Ive thought about this reply and to be honest cant answer/remember there are a few more !

I dont have 4, 5, 13, 14, 17, 19, 20 or 27 now......

27 cars, alittle bird said hhhhmmmm that number might be a little low.

Is the person that bought #27. Tube Chassis car for Ghia body (Ex Dean Lowry) going to put it together with the ghia or beetle body? Are they presently working on it?

As far as I know it´s still a work in progress and will be featuring a lightweight Ghia body.
