Title: Auto Meter tach wiring...oil light.
Post by: bugnut68 on April 03, 2009, 23:51:44 pm
I got the wiring diagram/instructions off the AutoMeter site for the tach and shift light, just wanted to know how to hook up the oil light?  Is one wire a ground and the other go to the sending unit?   Electrical is not my forte... my directions don't indicate anything about an oil light.

Yep, the wire going to the og oil light is +. The og oil pressure light sender short circuits when there is NO pressure, thereby completes the circuit and the light goes on.  :)
