Frankly I'm surprised you haven't headed off to Norway with a wing suit but failing that and in line with what you've posted I have some suggestions many of which are pictured on this thread (http://cal-look.no/lounge/index.php/topic,5968.0.html). A while back I found somewhere with a body for sale that would have been a very good starting point for something like this... (http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2386/2291954328_696c950770.jpg) Going down this route you'd still have the engine behind you and your face jammed up against the windscreen so it's almost exactly the same as a Bug. One of the guys that used to hang out in London when the Highgate Raceway was still open is now running a Nostalgia FC over in the States so there's probably a route to locating all the bits you'd need too.
