Sharon and I certainly had our share of fun in the 20 years we spent blasting around the dunes at Glamis.  I've posted on this topic in the past and hope I don't bore you guys.  Here's a few shots to get things rolling.  One of the first things you learn about off-roading is to take things slow when your learning to drive.  The next thing you learn is don't drink and attempt to drive balls out on your very first trip... the consequences can be ugly.

The views can be breathtaking, the air fresh, and the rush of mashing the gas will put a smile on your face forever.

The best part of building a buggy is there are no rules.

After a day in the sand, nothing beats a trip over to Boardmanville for a bowl of chili and a few more beers, a red neck shower and a great sunset.

Sure do... the first of our two cars.  The single hoop cage made it feel like you were driving a convertable!

Sadly, Glamis is a different world these days... inhabited by $100,000 long-travel, V-8 powered cars along with inner city thugs with no cars at all who come for the fights.  In the old days, that was not the case.  You could visit on non-holiday weekends and the entire place to your self... and leave with a smile on your face. ;D 8)

All the high $, long travel cars are not too good in the soft sand. You had better stop on a down hill or you will be stuck. Your rails were nice - clean - simple - and i'm sure fast  8)
