Title: neat oldschool switch Post by: Diederick/DVK on April 24, 2009, 12:19:03 pm i'm looking for a neat kill switch for my magneto.
with oldschool i mean it has to go with my VDO cockpit gauges etc. i don't know much about switches in terms of DPDT etc. but what i'm looking for is EITHER an ON - OFF switch, or a 0 - 1 - 2 switch where i can connect my fuel pump to the 1 and BOTH fuel and ignition on 2. please let me know if i can find these elsewhere Title: Re: neat oldschool switch Post by: JS on April 24, 2009, 16:22:51 pm I think an old on/off switch from an old guitar amp like the ones they used on Fender, Marshall, Vox etc looks cool.

In a house; lots of volts but not much amps In a car; lots ov ampsr and not much volt As Niclas state, make sure your switch can handle it. A typical main switch for a car can take from 150 amps to 500 amps. Look at your battery, what is the peak amps? Cold start amps? Quite high is my guess.
