The unbelievable power of communication technology has wonderful and (as stated) unforseen positive aspects. And yet, that same technology can twist and bend reality and influence thoughts and actions in a non-productive or negative direction. I have my own thoughts on the subject, but how many of the billions of internet transactions (not numbers-wise but percentage-wise) are truely an exchange or presentation of pertinent information? No hard numbers here, but I believe a very small percentage (read VERY). As a comparison, take this forum for an example.
Honestly, how many of the thousands of posts and replies (percentage-wise) actually contain useful information that some, or maybe all, can benifit from? Kinda like today's hula-hoop. Just stand there in one place and have the ring go around you as if you were the center of the universe............ |
