Title: Early days of VW Clubs in so cal
Post by: edcraig on May 01, 2009, 06:05:42 am
I was talking to my buddy Marc Buehler about some of the VW Clubs we were involved in years ago.  He dug up some information on the Volkschargers.  I joined in 1969, but they were going strong way before my time.  The attached letter he wrote to a local TV station gives you some idea as to how many VW Clubs there actually were back then, and the size of some.

Very nice. The Rushin' Roulette sounds like a great idea.

fashion square got demolished 15 years ago to build a new shopping center, meltebeke closed 20 years ago, building is still there, but is a used car lot, and i doubt la habra pd would give any support to any activity anymore, unless a ticket is support.
