Title: Lady fastback
Post by: Mario/DKT on June 02, 2009, 10:02:46 am
Found in a garage - stored since 15 years.
Owned by an old lady. She drive's just 2000km per year. Tach show's 55.000km.
Inside it look's like brand new. Seat's under cover's, carpet, headliner, radio, Eberspächer heater.
Minimum rust, small dent's here and there...

To do list: new brakes, spark plugs, gas hoses, polishing. Maybe lowering and other rims...

Mario, are you on a quest to buy every Type 3 in Europe? :o Another great one! Let me guess - detailed Fuchs, 2 splines at the front and one at the back? ;)

Neil,
i'm running out of Fuchs at the moment... I have a set of repro GB's here. Not everyone's taste, but they're in my garage with tyres on it.
Hmmm... the lowlight has Fuchs, maybe.....
But you've right - 2 spline's in the front :)

Find some 5.5" 914 steel wheels, and put the caps and rings back on. A little more tire front and rear, and lower the nose 1 click ;)

Coming back from my garage. Now the lady has new breakes, spark plugs, gas hoses. 4x130 and no lowering (at the moment ;D). Will bring it to the TÜV and drive a bit around and then i will see what's happen....
Tomorrow i will put fresh gas into it and kick in her old ass 8)

Nobody want's a good, reliable fastback in serial condition. :( Ok, it's not cheap, but worth the money! Perhaps I should make it cheaper for a fast sale... ???
But it's a oldtimer meeting with swap meet next saturday. If i cannot sell the car there, i will lowered it and put my gasburners on it! ;D
Perhaps the fastback is then sold faster...
