Title: Vintage motorcycle tires.... waaaaaaay off topic here...
Post by: Dave Rosique on June 11, 2009, 03:55:50 am

I could use a little help :)

I have a vintage 1944 BSA WD M-20 WWII motorcycle. The bike is mostly original except for the new, modern tires (tyres ;))
They look really out of place, but I've not had any luck locating what I want here in the good 'ol USA... So, I'm open to any leads. I need two 3.50X19 Trials type tyres... I prefer something British... Dunlop, Avon, etc.
Sorry about the non VW stuff, but Loungers seem pretty resourceful.

Thanks guys,

~Dave

If you don’t find anything in the US Vintage Tyres (http://www.vintagetyres.com/) here in the UK list a 350-19 Ensign (http://www.vintagetyres.com/display.asp?K=20090605_2380_000583&m=69&ds=motorcycle%20tyres&dc=103&sort=sort_size&mw=2&st_01=motorcycle%20and%20not%20tube&sf_01=type) trials tyre. If that’s not quite right there’s someone I know of who builds of all vintages and types who will know what’s available where but it’ll be a while before I can get an answer there as they’re currently in the Isle Of Man for the TT.
