Title: Re: Survivors from the 70s.pics from classic weekend Post by: richie on June 18, 2009, 22:08:27 pm ::) Why not create your own look? the thing about these cars is they cant be replicated,how do you recreate history,the stories the wear on parts can tell,35 years hard use on suspension leaves a unique ride height,often not even both sides, a throttle linkage that has been repaired rather than replaced,how many times has the gas pedal been forced to the floor,theres a thousand + things that make these cars so unique,even the fact that they have been redone adds a certain something that only that process cant create,thats what in my opinion would have spoiled the ghia had Doug redone it himself,he is a perfectionist,we can see that from the 67 he did,and to achieve that with this car would have lost some of its soul :'(
