All three were innovators and created sounds that hadn't been done before. Jimmy was an innovator and stylist, but not too terribly technical and really was somewhat of a follower. As a matter of fact, had it not been for Jeff, I don't believe Jimmy would have done as much as he did.

Hendrix without doubt... he changed guitar... he changed MUSIC (not only rock) and everyone knows him..he is an icon.. AND HE DID EVERYTHING HE LEFT US IN ONLY THREE YEARS.. Post by: Rennsurfer on June 18, 2009, 14:05:18 pm All three artists brought something unique and very special to the table that is the music realm. It's a very tough call... 'cause I dig all three. But mostly, I've been a Zeppelin fan since their stuff was new. Jimmy and the boys prove that they have the talent to play the widest variety of sounds and genres over just about any other band. Also, more bands have been influenced by them than any other band in history. That pretty much says something and it's food for thought.

Ed, what can i say. I still love bands with Zep influences (like The Tea Party), Jimi laid the foundation for it all, and Ed spread the bed for all the Metal guys. There's a old kid on the block for me as well...: Vernon Reid DKK Fred said it before. |
