Title: Size of breather hose for stock oil filler without the down tube. Post by: Brandon Sinclair on June 26, 2009, 16:51:02 pm I am getting rid of the nasty looking screw in aluminum oil filler/breather and going back to the more traditional looking stock filler-the one without the down tube. Now the breather tube on this thing is much larger (whcih I want) then the one with the down tube and I have seen modification where people weld in AN fittings and use braided hose or even use some clear hose from the hardware store. I want to go with the more traditional cloth braided hose like the original German hose but was wondering what size I needed and if someone can point me in the right direction to find it. The regular cloth breather hose that I have in my stash is too small in diameter. Thanks.

I was installing my CSP linkage here that's why there is none, oh and the air cleaners are gone now too so be nice.... I forget the diam of that hose, but it was not a "bulk" hose it was a formed breather hose VW # 113129651... think it was 15 or 17mm. |
