Everyone is invited! Copied from happenings.... DKK Coastal Cruise « on: July 20, 2009, 07:06:41 AM » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We're planning a low stress, high fun cruise for next Sunday July 26th. Won't cost you anything but gas and lunch money. We're meeting at Joe's Crab Shack in Newport at 10:00. We're not gonna stick around too long. VWs are preferred but not required. Lunch is going to be at Beachfire in San Clemente. If you haven't been there, you're in for a real treat! Title: Re: DKK Coastal Cruise this sunday Post by: John Rayburn on July 24, 2009, 05:46:59 am But, when does this take place?

(http://i566.photobucket.com/albums/ss104/Rennsurfer2/DKK/CruiseBeachfire.jpg) Had filet mignon & lobster tacos, black beans, rice, and a fried banana. Which came after some awesome chips, guacamole, salsa, a mojito, and some Stone Ale. Incredible food! Anything ordered from the menu is really good. I look forward to my next trip down there. (http://i566.photobucket.com/albums/ss104/Rennsurfer2/DKK/CruiseTacos.jpg) Afterwards, we ended up walking down to the S.C. pier and going to Fisherman's. Haven't been there in several years. Great view of the ocean and enjoyed some biers and sun. GOOD TIMES! Thanks to those that made the trek. We'll have to do another one, soon, when more people aren't on vacation. Title: Re: DKK Coastal Cruise this sunday Post by: John Rayburn on July 28, 2009, 00:57:16 am Where is everybody?
Title: Re: DKK Coastal Cruise this sunday Post by: Rennsurfer on July 28, 2009, 01:01:36 am Where is everybody? The cop got out of his car and the kid who was stopped for speeding rolled down his window. "I've been waiting for you all day," the cop said. The kid replied, "Yeah, well I got here as fast as I could." When the cop finally stopped laughing, he sent the kid on his way without a ticket. Title: Re: DKK Coastal Cruise this sunday Post by: DKK Robert on July 28, 2009, 01:13:32 am I hear a good local entertainer will be playing there August 16th. I think he means his son adam, very talented must come from the mothers side. ;DTitle: Re: DKK Coastal Cruise this sunday Post by: Rick Meredith on July 28, 2009, 04:09:50 am DEEKS = masters of vague. We may have tio revoke your membership... that statement wasn't vague enough..... Wait... my statement wasn't vague enough either! ;D Title: Re: DKK Coastal Cruise this sunday Post by: Rennsurfer on July 28, 2009, 04:50:08 am We may have tio revoke your membership... that statement wasn't vague enough..... Wait... my statement wasn't vague enough either! ;D In Friedrich Nietzsche's On The Genealogy Of Vagueness, we see an epic battle being waged between systems of morality. Arrayed against him, like keepers of the flame, we have Nietzsche's mortal enemies, the guardians of DEEK Vagueness. In the long run, these guardians of the tried-and-true vagueness have added nothing to human instinct, Nietzsche trumpets to the reader. Title: Re: DKK Coastal Cruise this sunday Post by: Speed-Randy on July 28, 2009, 05:35:59 am ya, what he said ::)
Title: Re: DKK Coastal Cruise this sunday Post by: Worm on July 28, 2009, 05:59:52 am You just quoted Nietzsche? Wow. I think I just fell off my chair.
May I then say..... John Sarte said, "To be is to do........." Socrates said, "To do is to be......." The "Chairman of the Board" said, "To do be do be do......" Take that. Title: Re: DKK Coastal Cruise this sunday Post by: Rennsurfer on July 28, 2009, 06:13:14 am Nice, Worm. Touchè.
And don't worry... I don't believe anything ol' Friedrich said. In fact, my beliefs are quite the opposite. Merely my weak attempt at being vague, such as it were. So, when is the next cruise to Beachfire? Turns out that the menu has more food than I've consumed during my last two prior visits at said eatery. What say you, DEEKS? If you don't plan anything... I'll haul off and go there, myself. You'll see. Title: Re: DKK Coastal Cruise this sunday Post by: WCB Hitler's Hot Rod on July 28, 2009, 06:27:44 am Count me in as well! Looking forward to consuming some eatery from the world famous beachfire! Vacation got in the way this time stranded along an aloha island. I'll be sure to drive some fine jewerly to be in VOGUE! ;) 8) ::)
Title: Re: DKK Coastal Cruise this sunday Post by: Speed-Randy on July 28, 2009, 17:24:42 pm Wow Fred, great that you are gonna organize another one. Im in, I just gotta get down to Greg Brittons shop to get my linkage fixed first and my 48's dial in. I was a mile from home Sunday after driving all day and it just completely jammed up, the last mile took about 10 minutes with no throttle control :-\
Title: Re: DKK Coastal Cruise this sunday Post by: Rick Meredith on July 28, 2009, 17:39:38 pm I'm always in for Beachfire... as long as I'm not ill like I was Sunday. I got up and it just wasn't gonna happen.
BTW Fred... this is a respectable, family oriented website and I ask you to refrain from posting pictures of your "Food Porn" ;D Title: Re: DKK Coastal Cruise this sunday Post by: Rennsurfer on July 29, 2009, 00:51:54 am Wow Fred, great that you are gonna organize another one. Im in, I just gotta get down to Greg Brittons shop to get my linkage fixed first and my 48's dial in. I was a mile from home Sunday after driving all day and it just completely jammed up, the last mile took about 10 minutes with no throttle control :-\ That sucks about your linkage, Randy. Greg's shop is a great place to take your car, too. We can wait... let us know when you're ready to go. I'm ready to go for another Beachfire drive. Worm, hope that you're not too bummed out that DEEKS have found a new place to frequent for quenching our need for feed. BTW Fred... this is a respectable, family oriented website and I ask you to refrain from posting pictures of your "Food Porn" ;D My apologies, Rick. I shall refrain from such lewd activity and just resign myself to viewing those food images on my computer only. I'm so ashamed at this juncture. Title: Re: DKK Coastal Cruise this sunday Post by: low oval on July 29, 2009, 03:38:55 am My kid told me Sonny Garcia was at Sunset's while we were there on Sunday.
(http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c218/smitty59/0726091212.jpg) this is how my car finished the cruise. bad alternator, fuel pump and a broken bracket for my muffler.
