Title: Great shots of Klingaman, Mike Smith, Mark Voegty(?) and Steve Tims Bullet
Post by: rick m on January 26, 2010, 08:29:03 am
I came across more of my early Bug-Run, Phoenix Bug-O-Rama pix and thought I would share them with the lounge. Hope you enjoy them.

If you look closely behind the KLINGAMAN car you can see Bob Godfrey's second version of his convertible GHIA drag car.

If any of you have shots of the FIAT Bullet, please post. I would like to see some shots of the car before TIMS or Eric Ballard owned it.  The earlier days of the Vittone ownership.

Hi Speedwell,

Ian Clark from WPS and I own the 850 above, we bought it from Peter Christie who imported it from the states a few years back.

It was in a bit of a sorry state but is on the road to recovery now. It was originally built by a guy called Dennis George, but we know very little of its history.

As we understand it very sadly Dennis George died possibly before he even got to race the car in its current state but it may have been that the car was raced by him prior to it becoming a chassis car as it is now. We believe he was pals with Steve Timms and there is also a connection with Mark Tremblay, but in both cases this is just 3rd or 4th hand information. So if anyone has any information about Dennis and the car it would be very much appreciated, as it clearly was once a very nice car (although possibly not finished).

I have some more photos of the car when we bought it from Peter which I will try and load up but I'm a bit hopeless on the technology front!

Peter

Keith,

You're right about Motion Sickness and the EMPI Fiat.  There were a few more.  I really liked the widow maker car too.
