Speedwell,

The SUPER BUG was actually chopped eventually.  Attached is a photo of the chopped version of the car...in real life.

Hi Rick - that was the second car. The one that Fabs showed ended up like this (kinda roof-chopped, but not in a very aesthetically-pleasing way!)

The full story of how this came about was covered in the October 2009 issue of Ultra VW in my Cal Look Archives section. :)

Keith,

I was just showing #2 car.  I know it was not the same exact vehicle. I will actually have to dig up my ecktachrom slide of a shot I have with Rick Cowles walking around the back end of #2 in the staging lanes at OCIR shortly after #3 was completed.  The version 2 car was a show piece.

Hey Fabs, I would love to see my 67 chopped if the urge hits you (while your skills are still hot) ;). I have actually pondered taking the Sawzall to it more than once.

Are any of those free downloads? I know paintshop isn't, but I'd like a programme that's similar that I can play around with  :)
