Title: Zero Transmission Experience. Post by: Harry/FDK on September 06, 2010, 14:08:32 pm How difficult would it be for a home-mechanic to change 4th gear in a swing-axle, or do i need a specialist with the right tools. (press, etc).

Title: Re: Zero Transmission Experience. Post by: Bruce on September 06, 2010, 17:57:56 pm Besides a press, you need a fixture to access the two forward shift forks' bolts so you can adjust them. This is either a specially made fixture, or an old case hacked apart.
When you get the gearbox that far apart, it's foolish to not renew any other parts that are worn. Title: Re: Zero Transmission Experience.
