Title: Identifying a steering wheel Post by: Nico86 on October 15, 2010, 01:11:35 am Do you know guys what is this steeering wheel ? I bought it as a Speedwell (but the Speedwell have a larger boss location), I don't know if it's one. I was also told it's a Formula wheel. Fabs maybe you saw it in a catalog ???

All the bosses I've tried have the correct bolt pattern but are too large to fit. The Flat4 GT boss seem the only one that have a correct diameter, but yes the mounting holes on the wheel needs to be redrilled.
It seems that there is 2 types of Speedwell wheel : one like mine with thin diameter boss and one with a bigger diameter boss ? my formula steering wheels had an golf mk1 boss because i had a 74 bug , and i drilled my steering wheels to the boss species but the speedwell one fitted directly well fabs Title: Re: Identifying a steering wheel Post by: Nico86 on October 15, 2010, 18:34:41 pm Ok I see, thanks Fabs ;) Yes like on this pics I found, top right, bottom left and bottom right are Speedwell (more curved, large diameter boss)
