Title: UK CAL LOOK DRAG DAY 2011
Post by: jamiep_jamiep on February 13, 2011, 13:24:03 pm
Here's the details guys - I've had a few emails bounce back from those on the mailing list, apologies if you didn't receive this:

Booking is now open for the 2011 UK Cal Look Drag Day, at Santa Pod Raceway, Wellingborough, England.

The event is taking place over the weekend of April 16th & 17th, with racing being held on the Peak Performance Sunday. Dedicated aircooled pit space for race participants is available from Saturday morning and those registered to race can camp in this area on the Saturday night. This gives us all time to arrive on site, get setup, crack open a beer and enjoy the spirit of 70’s California surrounded by fire breathing aircooled racers and cal lookers. In fact… who needs the beer?!

Ticket prices are as follows:

For spectators the standard track entry fee’s apply and booking in advance is not necessary (although it does get you a discount!). See http://www.santapod.co.uk/prices.php for details.

For racers you need to book the standard site entry fee@ £10 day / £20 weekend and the ‘Peak Performance’ race pass for the Sunday @ £40. So, if you want to spend the weekend at the track camping over, and racing on the Sunday, it will cost a total of £60. If you want to turn up and race for the Sunday only, your total is £50.

To book please call Santa Pod Raceway Mon- Fri 8.30 - 5.30 asking to speak to either Donna or Bekki and quote Cool look Drag Day to get these discounted ticket rates (Peak Performance track time is usually £60 per day for the track fee alone!). Please note the Santa Pod weekend staff cannot take your booking - only the Mon to Fri santa pod staff can take the bookings, and all tickets must be booked in advance. Race passes are limited to 100 tickets to ensure we all get lots and lots of track time. As the tickets are limited and are available on a first come first served basis I would encourage all participants to book as early as possible.

The track preparation for this event is well and truly a cut above usual standards and is prepped and glued to full race standard, which bodes well for those looking to accurately set up their car to reach its true race potential as well as those searching for that personal best! It also means bypassing the RWYB queues and maximises your track time.

Look forward to seeing you there!
