I liked that car when I was a teenager. Sorry to see it has lost its spark. Looks like turbo motor is gone too.

I never "got" the big sign-writing on the sides of cars that was in style for about six months.  That car had serious stance issues too.  Sat real high with several degrees of positive camber...not a car I would want to go fast in.  ;D

Still its hard to believe that a nice car could be neglected to that state.

Seemed like it was big in Hawaii, too, as I recall...

??

it's cool if you dont dig it, but imo, big sign writing on the sides of cars has been and still is "in style" and has been around for alot longer than six months.

from what i understand, bad temper II is now in the hands of a member of the GFK and will be restored correctly to it's former glory. and while it isnt one of my favourite early-ish drag cars...it is nice to see another one saved! ;)

Sorry, I wasnt clear.  Sure it is common on race cars, but I was referring to street cars.

I'm going to drop the turd in the punch bowl. That car would be seriously forgettable if restored--every one of us would write it off as a goofy 'retro' idea that some kid had recently. But that wear proves that car's authenticity and sort of makes it interesting. That's really the only thing this car has going for it.

I did enough time working in a detail shop to know that paint would look halfway good if polished carefully. Sure it's got issues on the roof but that car will never rust through. Raise the damaged sheet metal and tear it up with another turbo engine.

Seriously, you could build another car with the savings and have TWO finished cars. And people would actually look twice at this one. At least it would have its history going for it.

I think, but I'm not sure, that it has been restored and put back on the road by a member of the German Folks. Which is a good thing, in my opinion.

Whoever restored the car deserves props. They did a great job. More importantly they were faithful to the car's details like its unconventional stance. So many people would've taken liberties with things like that.
