Title: Remembering the Lowrys Post by: Sarge on April 04, 2011, 16:59:22 pm Just wanted to give a big shout-out to the Schley brothers for hosting a beautiful memorial in honor of Ken and Dean Lowry yesterday. My feelings are hard to put to words... suffice it to say that it was a very heartwarming experience and a truly special afternoon. Many thanks.[attachment=1]

Photo #1 is of course, Lee (Burger) Leighton Photo #2 is the restored Lightning Bug dragster's new home. That Revmaster's Joe Horvath in the center. Photo #3 is Dean Lowry's old buggy which he used as a test vehicle for the Super-Flow and 3-liter engine parts. Marla and Joanne both drove it as well. Now owned by Jeff Denham Photo #4 is Ken Lowry's '29 hot rod. Chop top in the background is Ken Lowry's old I/Gasser, driven by Dean Lowry and Dave Vanderbeke back in '73+.
