Title: Vw classic who's in town
Post by: Geoff P DVKK on June 06, 2011, 16:31:05 pm
Just thought we could have a sound off to who's in town for the vw classic this week.
Myself and a friend drove our buses the 1500 miles from Vancouver BC for the Pomona swap and Classic. Who's making the trip?

Geez I can't believe both Keith and Russell aren't gonna make it. I wore my Gasser Garage shirt to Nick's last night in anticipation!

Beer sales are going to plummet!  ;D

I'll be flying in from Cincinnati for the cruise in at Nicks and the classic as well. This is my first Classic weekend, is there anything else that is a must? I can't wait to see all the cars I've dreamt about! ;D

I'll be at Nicks... maybe late as work schedule is up in the air. We're really short handed so we're keeping really busy.

Sunday I should be there with no problems.

Bummer, I was hoping you would be there, Russell. I've got something for you. Now you will have to wait.

I'm towing down the split and should be there Thursday night. Not sure if I will bring the '51 to Nicks as I have some fuel problems and ran out of time to trouble shoot.

At local car show Memorial Day.

Looking forward to seeing everyone

As far as I'm concerned, Nick's is THE event of the weekend. I'm sure you'll find plenty willing help to get you to Nick's, myself included!

Zach, I'm sure you would.......and I appreciate that. We'll see....first I need to move the car 1200 miles then play it by ear.
It was good meeting you at the Bug-In...I just wish I had had more time to talk. Everything was just crazy that weekend.

Marc

It's funny that you say that Bill cause last time I flew in to San Diego, my inlaws made us stop at Jack in the Box before heading to their house even though I insisted on In and Out. This time my MIL knows she's stopping at I&O first otherwise she'll hear about it the whole week.

Screw it -- Loading the Ovalholio onto the trailer Thursday night then gonna drive it to work and let it set there all day -- then straight to Nicks be there about 4 -- just got to find a place to park the truck and trailer since I've heard (rumor???) we are not going to be allowed to use the lot across the street -- Any truth to the rumor?????? Can i reserve a spot in Nick's lot????
