can somebody tell me how to open up a magneto? it's difficult :) i want to try and lock it myself.. i know the weights are in the base, so is it enough to remove the bottom (part that goes into the dizzy drive shaft) or do you have to dissassemble completely? they sell a locking plate for vertex mags, can i use it you think? thanks, Peter Title: Re: scintilla info Post by: Fastbrit on July 20, 2012, 22:45:39 pm The bottom is separate from the main body, so you can simply remove the base OK. Scintilla = Vertex... ;)

You can use that same tool for installing/removing your dash escutcheons if you're careful.
