I would say it depends on who has done the porting

I think those have been published once somewhere. IIRC it was 250-270 cfm on the intakes with their stock valve arrangement.
Pity they seem not able to deliver these heads for some strange reason.

JPM Flow bench.
Numbers are from my first set of heads.

Yes, I do like them and I just bought my sceond set this spring.
This latest one is a second hand set from Jake Raby. I am building a 2411.

Do you need a good level of compression like me?

Then Jorge at EMW has the CAD for doing custom pistons as we did for my last set of heads. I took the cost to do this and just go ahead and take advantadge, if you need it.
These are manufactured from doing a cylinder head mould and then made the drawing at JE.

almost a shame to put those in  an engine!

Yeah, I call them piston porn in another circle track forum.
Amazing but maybe 10-15 years ago, this was F1 technology.  Now available to me.
Just like the DTA S60.
Is it not fun?

...and my heads.
Jake Raby coated them with black heat spreading special on the outside and other stuff in the intake and then ceramiic of some kind in the chambers.
On the dyno with some kiind of wild cam he could not control the valves, so he ordered special Crower Beehives and these worked up to.xxxxxx ? much higher rpm.
I was contemplating to swap them with a set of OTEVA 75 but then decided to give them a try. I love the retainers. 3 gram.
Unfortunately only single spark but who knows, I might change that one day.

Got a set of Pauter new gen rockers with bushings.
Will be nice if they do work well. I do think so.

Hi Frallan

Realy nice pistons. Why this high CR? E85?

YES

If you want to take advanatadge of the E85 more than cooling, Compression should be bumped in comparison.

Hi Frallan..

Just outta curiosity, would you be willing to post some pictures of the ports of your heads? and maybe the size of the intake (manifold end)  The ones you posted flow numbers on!

Im currently running 48 intakes in my type 4 heads, they flow 233 cfm at 16 mm lift. Im going to change the valves for 52 mm and 6 mm stem and do some more porting.

Regards, Jakob

Sure!

I will post whatever I have and then in three weeks when me and my EP heads are physically together, I can take some measurements.
Ahh, I do have a set of manifolds in my apartment that I can share port size with you.

These are the heads that Johannes flowed.

Different manifolds´

This is the only one I have that shows the porst of my "new second hand" heads.
Pictures and dimensions of the IDf manifolds will be posted tonight my time. You can see it tomorrow morning.

Whooo.... those inlets look big  :o

I see a lot of 'unshrouding' done to those type 4 heads, does this benefit a lot..
