Title: Wheelie Bar mount - will this cut it Post by: adrian on January 21, 2014, 05:48:02 am First time at something with bars, this is what we came up with, but a couple of thoughts in my head are --- 1st is are the bar mounts too close (we can run a mount out of the holes and spread the bars), 2ndly are we asking too much of the mount with the bars set up like that. I can see the mount being twisted downwards at the rear if it gets hit with enough force, breaking studs and worse.

I added gussets going forward that attach to the frame horns to spread the load. I made the gussets two piece. A tab that welds to the frame horn and a tab on the trans mount so they can be unbolted for trans removal
