Title: Berg Traction bar mounting..... quick question!
Post by: jick on October 15, 2014, 14:11:47 pm
Quick dumb question..... So the central "Snubber" mounting hole is offset in the bar..... Which is the front/back ?

I suppose seeing as I haven't fitted/set up the brackets etc it might not matter? Or is there a right way round??

The reason I need to know is that I'm doing some lettering on the bar itself and it would be kinda annoying if it ends up on the wrong side!

Thanks anyone!

I have mine installed with the protruding rubber mount facing forward (toward the engine). This prevents the bar from sliding forward and rubbing on the engine case.

I agree with Neil. Mine is that way. I believe the key with the berg bar is to mock it up and see where it naturally sits/wants to be.
I have berg bars on my 56 and 63 and they don't sit the same
