Title: type4 powered mid-engined UVA F33
Post by: The Fugitive on February 02, 2015, 19:30:23 pm
Hi everybody.

I thought, lets share my project here.

Its a UVA F33 mid-engined kitcar. UVA build fugitive 2's in the 80's. those where streetlegal sandrails.

the F33 is a very rare car en a year ago, when everybody thougt there where only 4 left in the world... the 5th showed up on ebay.

I'm ditching the rover v8 and will mount a VW type4 engine.

it will be a 2,4ltr, MS3x, garret gt3076r charged engine. riechert style cooling, 6stage dry sump and a 930 4speed gearbox with LSD.
also a flexfuel sensor so it's e85 compatible without switching maps. the MS3x is capable to interpolate between mappings.  :D

probably 48x40 with inconel exhaust valves,
schleicher 324
toolsteel 58gr lifters
custom flywheel with tilton OT2 double disc.
oteva springs.
bosch 1200cc injectors

The first pics:

this is the second flywheel design. but not the definitive one.
