I run a cb pump with very similar motor spec. Why do you think it's not keeping up with the carbs?

The CB 3 1/2 lbs. rotary fuel pump #3193 supports 250hp with no problems. My friend and I have tested it at the Autobahn…  ;D 140mph with 3.0 Needle Valves and enlarged float bowls.

hi richie and others
no the only mods to the carbs are 3rd progression hole and jpm stacks and vents.there is a 8mm hard line from the tank to the reg.when the car was on the rollers jim said the fuel pressure was dropping right off at high rpm range.also he seemed to think the float bowls were emptying too.
also the reg is just now a flash t pice as it was a cheap holly one..

cheers andy

 Hey Andy,
The float bowl mod is merely opening the well that looks like another accelerator pump well to gain a few more cc's of fuel storage. I have used Holley fuel pressure regulators with no problems , in fact I have one on my turbo car now .  Make sure your fuel tank vent system is working properly also. Mike McCarthy

Replace the reg with just a normal tee piece?

Make sure your fuel tank vent system is working properly, had same issue before.

thanks guys for the info.the old reg is now just a flash t pice as the cb pump i think has a built in reg.my fuel tank in the car is a stock 54oval tank with the 100mm cap so thats the only vent is there.
so you would say leave the pump at just get the float bowels made bigger???

cheers andy
