Title: New glass or Perspex bug rear screen Post by: vwhelmot on February 01, 2017, 22:11:11 pm So..... to cut a long story short I've managed to buy all the glass Barr the rear screen for my project car. It seems that only new heated screens are available and clear ones are not made anymore??!! I need a really good scratch free screen for a 65 bug, I will even consider Perspex but prefer glass.

Although my '66 was chopped it took a stock rear screen, and Paul supplied a piece to do it. Took a lot of trimming to fit but it went in! I don't think I'd want to do it to a freshly painted car though.
Thinking about it, could you get an original rear screen polished? Start quite abrasive and work through to better than factory? Its expensive but hopefully it will look fine. Cheers
