Title: Firestone Wide Oval Radial size?
Post by: Jamesbon153 on October 09, 2018, 04:55:36 am
Hi  , there  I'm James.

I've fallen in love with the Firestone wide oval tyres but I was a bit weary about the bias ply on the rear, radial on the front idea.
I've seen that coker tyre is making the wide oval in a bias look radial.

They don't make the F70-15 size though. The closest is a GR70-15 (overall diameter is larger 27.70 vs 26.90). Any ideas if this will be too much?

Thanks in advance.

Hey James,
Not sure about tire/tyre sizes; but I've seen these radials and... well... they look like radials, i.e., the sidewalls are bulgy like a radial tire would be.
If you like the "square" look of a slick or bias-ply Wide-O, you gotta buy the bias-ply Wide-Os I'm afraid. Just my 2 pences ;-)

Hi there,

I got the FR70 on mine. I agree they are a little bulgy but I love them!!
