I have searched and have seen a lot of pictures of some sweet rides in these forums, but I coming up blank with finding written data.  I have a 67 sunroof bug that I want change a little bit from stock.  I have been away from the street scene for a while since my other bug is a drag car.  I want to bring the front down a bit since it sits front high.  I have 2 1/2" drop spindles (CB Performance) for the front and I am planning to run BRM style wheels, 15x5".  My question is what are you guys running for wheel and tire combos that will fit without having to narrow the front beam or the tires rubbing on the fenders?  I have read some run 145s up front while others run 165s.  I am leaving the height in the back stock so what do you run back there, 165s, 195s, 205s?  I want to keep the tires inside the fender and have that nose down look, so let me know what works and what choices I have.   Any help with some pics to get that "perfect stance" would be great!

I run 205/70 on the back and 155 standard profile on the front, stance is ok, not ideal, it looked meaner with 145, but it drives way better with the extra rubber up front. I originally changed coz I has disks installed and with 145 it was too easy to lock up the fronts. I then put bigger cylinders on the back to re-address the brake balance, so 145 might be ok again; that is the classic combo.

I would avoid putting anything modern on there, looks wrong, but does limit your options.

I baulked at the prices for Michelins' and settled for Vredenstien Classic Sprints.

see if you can find a 155/70 hard to get, but ideal

155 on the front and 205 70 on the rear both on 5 1/2 rims

Have run a 155 on a 4 1/2 rim on the front

Thank you all for your input, I now have a better idea on tires sizes.  I would also like to get info from those with first hand knowledge running BRM wheels.  I guess to be specific, I would like to know the following: if I run either the Flat 4 BRM wheel or the EMPI BRM wheel in a 15x5 (I think there is only one offset), can I run 205 or 195 tires out back and keep them under the fender WITHOUT having to swap to shorter axles and tubes? AND, if I use CB Performance drop spindles which advertises adds an additional 1/4" to each side, can I fit the same wheel with say a 145 tire WITHOUT having to go with a narrowed beam?  So those of you running the Flat 4 or EMPI BRM wheels on your 67, can you tell me what works to keep everything under the fenders without major mods?  I am really looking to just bring the front down a couple of inches and change to BRM wheels.  Thank you again to you guys that have replied already.

That is pretty much what mine looks like too, I am thinking I trying a bigger tire on the back. I have short axels.

I've got Flat Four BRMs on mine, stock width beam and short axles with 145s and 195/70s I did run 205/65s on 67 axles but only one side cleared the repro rear wings!

145 and 205/70. Dropped spindles and discs. Narrow beam and short axles.

I would suggest that with dropped spindles, 145 might just work, if you do not drop too low.

At the rear, short axles will be better. If using stock axles, a slightly narrower tyre might fit better.

I'm running 5` BRMs on my 67 with stock long axles and 165s sit very close to the edge of the wing, not sure you could fit anything wider

Definitely, lots I differences coming to light, my short axels don't push the 205 tyre quite so far out as on the cracking black car above. Could it be the make of BRM on the car? As I said my 205 look much more like the white car, so much so, I was thinking of putting 235's on, if they will fit the wheels.
