Title: Gasser Hood
Post by: samotorsport on January 21, 2020, 13:06:08 pm
The logic behind the engine deck lids is pretty clear , but i always wondered what reason was behind modifying the front hood into this ?
Was there a performance , technical aspect behind ? Or was this just for the look ?

Could be the funky design stiffened up the light fiberglass to prevent it 'oil canning' at speed...

I always thought that , but Richie has a wafer thin version of one of my glass bonnets , and that has survived 170 odd mph
