1- after you wrote your text go to  ADDITIONAL OPTION(1)
2-after go to  PARCOURIR (2)
3- if you want to attach more picture go to MORE ATTACHEMENT (3)
Maximum attachment size allowed: 256 KB, per post: 4
hope that will help some of us

And for those of us running english, "PARCOURIR" says "Browse" on our button.

You can also link in pictures from external sites, like photobucket etc,  by writing the following code:

Code:
[img]http://cal-look.no/apicture.jpg[/img]

Thanks Fab, good topic :-)

To continue on Speedwells original topic  ;)

If you're looking for a easy to use program for resizing and compressing the images. look at irfanview. http://www.irfanview.com/ (http://www.irfanview.com/) It's free too.

For something a little more advanced, there is also GIMP. (Which runs on Linux and Windows.)

I need to find a new hosting service. Mine goes away in April when I graduate.

Hi guys, just added a nifty little mod.
It enables you to "insert" your added pictures into the post instead of them coming at the bottom.
If you add attachments as usual using "addition options" and browsing attachments, it will just as before.

BUT now you will also see the link "Insert Attachment x" between the "Browse" button and "more attachments" link. By clicking this link you will insert a code snip to your post/text which will position the picture in question where that code is inserted.

Hope you enjoy as you will now be able to put pictures in between your text.

Hey Guys,

I was looking for a simple program to allow one of our decidedly "un-technical" users to quickly and easily resize pictures to be uploaded to our maintenance scheduling software. She'd like to take digital pics of maintenance issues and then attach them to the work orders so that the maintenance staff can clearly see the issue. I'm surprised that she figured out hooking up the camera to the computer and transferring the images. I searched and I found Image Resizer for Windows.

When it's installed, you right click on the image file and "Resize Image" is added to the context menu.

[attachment=1]

Click on that and it brings up a menu with several predetermined sizes and then a custom size.

[attachment=2]

It's available for free at http://imageresizer.codeplex.com/ (http://imageresizer.codeplex.com/)

Does it have the img brackets around the URL for the pic like this?

Code:
[img]http://cal-look.no/lounge/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=97.0;attach=16689;image[/img]

Also that is a pretty large pic for a signature. You may want to resize it smaller.

My image is small enough, it is an RGB JPEG, etc. I've never had trouble before — what could it be?

Good morning tech-savvy people

Anyone know if its possible to take and post picture using ONLY an iphone ?
Sure this is possible as I see lots of pics here with apologies for phone quality.
I don't own a computer, yes I'm behind the times haha, but my phone does nearly all
I need (except post pictures)

Any help appreciated, I have a test picture all ready too

Big thanks

Success !!
For those interested, I took the picture using an iphone then emailed it to myself.
This gave me the option of rescaling the file so choose under the KB limit and send.
Receive the email and save the image than add to the post from the photo album.

Or did you all know this already  ;)

Happy new year
Darren

Soooooo, I was thinking of posting some pics of my car in the 'in da works' section' as it's now reached the next stage of it's life but I remembered my pictures normally come out either stretched or rotated.

I'm only using an Iphone (no camera and laptop screen has gone all Super Nintendo).

As a test I've taken 4 random pics. Normal portrait then normal landscape. Then square portrait and square landscape.

Let's see which one works (if any) :

Tried 4 times now with no luck - says in red text that my session has timed out or I didn't put a subject or text  ???

How about with no attachments ?

Darren, I have been having trouble attaching photos for a couple of months now, I have found I can only add max 2 pics then post, I can then go back to edit it and ad another pic, post it then edit and add another to max 4 pics, don't know why as always sued to be able to add 4 1st go, maybe try modifying your post and add another pic and see if it works?

Hi Richie - good to see I'm not the only one having problems.
Tried your method and the pic (trailer tyre blowout we had on the way to Jim Smiths) appears to have been added correctly.

So only 4 pics per post then ? Is it file hosting that allows more ? (I'm rubbish with computers, only use my phone anyway).

The diamond green bug in the projects section has loads of pictures in one post but when one is selected, goes to the hosting page.

I'll get some project pictures up eventually  ;)

Happy new year
Darren

I didn't know anout this issue. Perhaps it is related to an over populated webhotel. I am considering moving it to where I have another big forum.
In addition I have tried out a forum mod on another forum that enables to upload pictures without resizing first. I will update the same mod here. That should hopefully make it easy to upload pictures. Experince from the other forum seems to be very good from both phones and computers.

Title: Re: how to post pictures
Post by: Trond Dahl on December 30, 2015, 20:09:55 pm
A quick update.
I have now installed the resize mod I was talking about. It will basically allow you to upload a large image directly, and automatically downsize it for you to 800x600. this should make it much easier to upload photos to the forum, even directly from a cell phone.

However it looks like my provider is having some performance issues, which is why it has not been possible to upload more than one picture at a time. I have contacted them about this and hopefully it can be improved. If not I will take actions to move to my server where I know this works better.
