mahle and febi lifters are fine, lube-a-lobe SCATs are better than normal SCAT. just pay attention that web cams are more picky on lifters than engle cams. jordy, hit me up on your ideas! ;) Title: Re: Lube-a-lobe Post by: Jon on February 22, 2007, 00:35:48 am There are even those who dont blaim the lifters at all, and they use whatever... and never has a problem.
If you are going to install whatever springs at whatever springpressure combined with a real streetable cam, you need the best lifters money can buy. I would then go ceramic. We never had problems with any cam , web, pauter and engle. Only the lifters have been the problem , exept our german steel ! A lifter must have the right material and hardness. I never had a cam problem with my lifters , but with all others you can see first pitting on the lifter and after that the cam goes flat . EVERY engine i get with aftermaket lifters have pittings on the lifter or both , flat cam and, up to broken lifters . It depends on how long the engine was running. Udo |
