there was a picture of this car with the blacked out trim and rings in VWtrends. it featured the car out in front of the firedepartment with the firetruck in the background. the guy was washing the car.
i like it, especially the pearlyelow...  :o yes i do. not the chromed and gold-adonized engineparts but all the rest looks cool to me.

good start fabs

 ;D

I really like the 3/4 rear view. Very nice car.

Just the engine bay and Rossi headlights I don't like.

That is a flashback. I remember the firehouse scene as well. I wonder what Holly looks like today? GGRRR or 200 plus?

I can remember Dave building the engine on the car. For some reason that car was exceptionally loud from carb noise. It would shock you when you goosed the throttle. Very mean car!

Not having turn signals makes it look very tall. I don't think I like that part of it.

I have never seen the backseat before. What a custom piece!
Looking forward to seeing cars like this being built again!

thanks

but that is not nice. i am just a little push away of buying a 67 and trowing all my savings away and numerous nights on the cough and now you post this again. this is not really helping.  >:(

no i really love the car it is sooooo nice, only the decklid stands a bit off too much, otherwise it is just what i really like. i don't even mind the turbo engine...
but i need to get a engine done and some bits and bops to the car (bumpers chromed, onepiece windows working, brakes set,... )

only one day of work and then 2 weeks of holiday, god it is hard work being a teacher  ;D

It's a shame that, in the bottom picture of the article, the judges' score cards have been PhotoShopped out. It would've been groovy to see what their respective scores were. Oh well.

Are those post '68 door handles?
