Hello

at this point i don't want to believe i have lost 2500 dollars on him, but i am getting worried, if anyone can help me and can get a message to him please contact me...hopefully it works that way...

Kevin will not take your money. He get's very busy and sometimes the email and voicemail backs up. Be patient, he's builds very nice stuff and will not rip you off.

His problem is he's only one guy who builds chassis, engines, transmissions and fabrication. I can try reaching him on his personal number and asking for an update for you.

Kevin built two transmissions for my friend Endre and me this year. At times it was very hard to get in contact with him, but a tip I got was to leave a message on the machine about who you are and why you are calling and that you will call back in 10 minutes. Usually that will get him to pick up the phone.

I wish he would answer the phone more often also, but at the same time I appreciate him using his time making quality trannies instead :-)
I waited quite som time for our trannies, but It was worth the wait :-)

The email address I always got a 1-2 days delayed respons on, is 'kcrkev@aol.com'

Like Oliver says, he won't rip you off, It just takes som patience from you :-)

Just FYI.... Kevin at KSR (South Carolina), and Kevin at KCR (Riverside, CA) are two different people....

Yeah as Deano says theres 2 companies that sound real similar KSR and KCR
Both guys have real good reputations.
KCR is transmissions only
KSR are chassis guys etc bit like Ron Lummus

Its always good to be patient and use the phone, email often gets overlooked buy these busy guys.

Rob.

I just spoke with Kevin @ KSR. His email is down and I informed him of your concern. Kevin said he will be calling you and that he is waiting on parts for the 5 speed. I do not know what parts he needs, but he is waiting on GBE.

Hope this helps.

thanks for your help olliver, i know GBE can be a pain in the ass with delivery of parts some times (the 5 speed kit in this case, because there where machining problems) so no problem with that and , as i mentioned before i don't have a bad feeling about him, up till now only good story''s reached me.
only the communication is very difficult at the moment and i would be fine to get updated once a month or two months...but i will discus it with him when he calls...
now you told him this i hope he will call, so we can also discus the rest off the parts

again thnx for your help...

he has contacted me and told me there where some mail and personal problems, so communication was a little bad, so it looks to be better know, and as far as the build concerned, up till know the kit still has to be delivered by berg and is taking a long time due to some machining problems...

i am happy again after the contact's and i am pretty sure i will get a good gearbox...
for the time beeing this can be closed..hoppefully the next topic will say...."mounting the berg 5"
