You can run the car without the need for an dynamo/alternator or even a battery... I saw versions with advance and without advance, watch out for he versions of industrial engines, they're limited to 4500rpm You also always has to check if they're charged... Title: Re: Magneto's, How & Why, Tips required Post by: jick on January 04, 2007, 19:57:25 pm i also need advice, i have a vertex scintilla oac magneto that i want to use on my 2276cc, i've tried contacying Don Zig and Joe Hunt, also an old school magneto rebuilder in the UK....however none of whom seemed too interested in my business......i suppose mine needs to be recharged, the advance curve altered and a general service.....

You can buy one setup with an electronic ignition and internal coil from Vertex. |
