Title: 48 IDF Idle problems
Post by: karmann77 on April 05, 2009, 21:13:10 pm
When the motor gets warm it tends to idle at about just under 2000 revs, what could the problem be?

Check your distributor's advance mechanism.  It could be sticking in an advanced position.

What do you mean with it tends to idle just under 2000? Does it mean that the idle increases to just under 2000 or don't the engine run under 2000 rpm?

maybe a sealing problem, only when the engine is hot. if it can get more air, the mixture is getting leaner and the idle speed goes up.
