A really good looking bit of scrap, especially of the line!

Cool car! and with a fan belt and muffler too (street tires?). What times did you run Steve?

Keep up the good work!

Peter.

Hi Pete,

At SCC i was back out with the car since 5 years almost...ran 11.4@188km/h on the first run leaving "to hard/high" .The other runs were all in the 11.6_11.7 'ens.
I ran the car WITH MUFFLER+FANBELT no cheating here so far ;) ;) but i got the slicks on.

@ GRIEBEL;

Engine is 78 x 4" bore compression is 12/1 and running on 98octane Belgian Pumpgas.
I got a set of Johannes(JPM) his heads to work my magics out on...
Right now i still run the small header+ 48IDA's (bored to 50mm) .
As i went into trubles with my XXXXXX lifters and i ruined my brand new special custom-made camshaft by JPM on wednesday before the SCC-weekend,i had to do a camshaft/lifter-swap by night so at the moment there is just an "of the shelf CB-camshaft+CB-lifters" in.
It was already 10pm at thursday evening when the engine was back in the car so no time to get it dialed in on the dyno ...
Off we went to SCC with no dynotime on the engine.
As there was no racing on saturday we just got not enough time on Sunday to tune the engine and to manage a "full clean" run as i ran out of fuell in the higher rpm's in each gear so i had to shift way before hitting the rev-limiter ...but still not disappointed as the potential is there i think knowing that the car hits the scale at 1740lbs with driver.
I ran a 3" magnaflow Muffler btw.
Hope you're pleased with the answer so far?

Kind regards Steve

Excellent Steve,

Like you said it sounds like there is plenty more to come, given all the issues you described, and given all the drama you had to even get to the track, I'm sure you are very pleased with the result.

Great car, hope to see it for real some time, as I hope to race in main land Europe again next year, economy permitting.

Peter.
